Synopsis
The director spent 3 months in a village near Dakar, taking dance classes and percussion, led by a Senegalese musician. With her camera, and a supply of tapes, recorded this material from a rare perspective, happy, in Africa. A very poor people, but, in a difference whit the dramatics areas of the continent, they have no problems with the food supply. And apparently this is enough, because everything else is preparing food, singing, dancing, doing laundry, play, talk (the Wolof language whit impossibles cuts whit French). The material has the virtue of bypassing the emphasis and be raised from an insider: where the camera does not weigh, it is almost over for environment, sustained in contemplation of peculiar and beautiful life among the ritual and the domestics.
