Balkans... Land of fantasies and clichés, between cultural richness and heart of multiple tensions, our turbulent European neighbours still scare us, and fascinate us. We wanted to meet them, without prejudices, and have another view on this European "black hole", gathering its fears and hopes. In our bags, a videocamera and a camera and a few travel notebooks... 2 months later, we came back from this 3 000 kilometers long trip between Marseilles and Istanbul through 10 countries with a 1 hour long movie and a lot of lasting memories and images. Balkans are, for sure, an impacting discovery. We missed time to understand it all, and we still got more questions than answers about identities, religion, tolerance, integration... And above all, one big idea: to leave again...
