Synopsis
Fourteen femicides are committed in the desert north of Chile in the town of Alto Hospicio, and during the two and half years these crimes took place, the state agencies who had the obligation to protect, did not. After several years, five relatives of the victims tell us how the authorities and the community in general, abused their missing family members as much as themselves. The insistence of the institutions (that proved, what's more, to be clearly classist) and the whole community on preconceived notions of who was to blame, clearly demonstrates that the most dangerous place to be is: female, young and poor. The facts reveal in the crudest way the fringes that constitute our abominable misogynist culture.
