“A piece of insanity” follows for four months the rehearsals of the play of a different kind – a story about insanity, played by people with psychological problems, amongst them Alessandro, Miriam and Stefan. Three people that are exposed daily to their own feelings and during these rehearsals they confront their illnesses and its pitfalls with humour and courage. Their personal stories form the fundamental basis. A direct and moving film about three people who act out on stage because their only wish is to be accepted just the way they are.
