Synopsis
The work portrays a couple through their digital communication (Skype dialogues, emails and home-videos done with domestic devices like smart phones, tablets, etc.). The piece is inscribed in the tradition of diaries or sketches of daily-life (Jonas Mekas, David Perlov, Stan Brakhage). This documentary addresses the topic of communication-through-devices, the noises of tele-communication and what Günther Anders called ‘home-delivered reality’. The raw material of this piece gathers the banality and the pathos of everyday life, at times written with kitsch poetic overtones. This piece continues the topics of their authors’ previews works, dedicated to explore the privacy and innerness of their characters — sides that usually remain hidden behind social behaviors.
